Faerie Events 2008
OK, it's taken me long enough to get my wing-ed rearend over to this computer! I'd like to share my upcoming events of this wonderful year:
APRIL 24 - June 2, 2008: A 3-woman art exhibition called 'Beautiful World' will be at the Diddywopps & Keefers Gallery in Monkton ( www.diddywopps.com). This show includes my drawings of local songbirds and some exotic fowl. It's a very positive show, a breath of fresh air, filled with lovely and whimsical works by 2 other very talented women. Artists' reception is Sat, April 26, 6-8pm.
MAY 2,3, & 4, 2008: Spoutwood Fairie Festival! It's our 17th annual show! I can't believe I've been showing and volunteering there all these past dozen years or so! It's still undeniably the finest faire in the Realm!
I do have to admit that I'm in the final stages of committing to myself that I need to take (an unpaid) sabbatical next year, if only for one year. Soooo, this may be the last faerie event I'll be vending my wings at this year and next. I'd like to devote my entire artistic talent to working on more fine art shows starting after Spoutwood.
I'll keep in touch about my newest exhibitions in the future!

*MAY 4, 5 & 6, 2007: 16th Annual Spoutwood MayDay Fairie Festival. The original, this great festival started it all! Three days of fun and creativity again this year! visit www.fairiefestival.net
*MAY 19 & 20, 2007: Maryland Faerie Fesival in Upper Marlboro, MD. Two wonderful days of Earth Spirit fun! visit www.marylandfaeriefestival.org
*July 20, 21 & 22 Otakon Eve.... OK, I'll be there! Twist my arm already! My trusty wing helper Gussie and I will be in artist alley, table V. Just look for the wings floating up far back in the room.
*Sept 8,9 Charles Vess ' art show will be leaving this gallery in VA that weekend, but he plans to have quite a sendoff. He collaborated with Neil Gaimann on a movie that'll soon be out, Stardust. The Gallery's website is www.wkrac.org/stardust/stardust.html
*Oct. 12, 13 & 14 FaerieCon in Philly, PA. This is event is a biggie, with lots of master artisans... many of Who's Who in the Realm of Faerie! Be sure to stop by Faerie Magazine's booth, as they'll be displaying some of my wings, and just to say hello! Can't wait to see you all there, especially at the Good and Bad Faeries' Balls. www.faeriecon.com
*Dec 1 - Jan 14, 2008 An inviting Winter Faerie event at the Monkton Community Arts Center in Monkton, MD www.diddywopps.com . This gallery is housed in the old former TownHall building next to the NCR Hike & Bike trail in historical Northern Baltimore County. Plan to come on opening day, as lots of Fae celebrations will take flight! Several of our local talented artists will have their work displayed, including mine... just in time for holiday shopping!
